HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: Now, this is more like it SA.

Mike Brouillet of HoopsVibe goes on location to San Antonio Texas for game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. His objective is to find out what makes the Spurs tick. They're in the middle of an impressive 10 game playoff winning streak and 20 game regular season to playoff winning streak. They were up 1-0 going into game 2 of the Western Conference Finals and emerged up 2-0.

On Location: Is San Antonio Really That Boring?

by Mike Brouillet

Monday, May 28, 2012 11:10 AM

Is San Antonio really that boring? We sent Mike down to SA to find out.

HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Full disclosure, I really like the Spurs. I like the team. I like the way they are humble. And I like the way they win. Having lived in Los Angeles for a while now, I have to also admit though, San Antonio is significantly slower. It's understandable that fans from bigger markets like NYC or LA look at San Antonio and think it's boring. Maybe it is boring, but hey ... maybe that's part of the charm or the Spurs too.

Did you see the huge celebration the Knicks had when they won 1 ... yes 1, playoff game? The Spurs have rattled off 9 straight playoff wins this post season and go about it like it's business as usual.

With that said, I'm here in San Antonio this playoff run to get a feel for the city, the fans, and the team. Here are the results of game 1 in San Antonio.

Isiah Thomas Wants Back In; Quick, Look Busy NBA

by Paul Eide

Saturday, May 26, 2012 02:42 PM

Isiah Thomas wants to get a basketball job, any basketball job. So if you have one, be sure to hit him up.

HoopsVibe Very Quick Call: This is ridiculous.
But just like any potential job seeker, his prior body of work i.e. his resume must be reviewed. If we did that he’d be akin to a lawyer who got disbarred; he may know the law, but he has no idea how it functions.

Wade Has Knee Drained

by Mike Brouillet

Friday, May 25, 2012 10:11 PM

Wade has knee drained during Indiana series.

HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: This can't be good.

Dwayne Wade reportedly has been nursing a knee injury through the playoffs. Wade has refused to blame his knee for his mediocre play earlier in the Pacer series, but underwent a minor draining procedure on at least one occasion. This injury to his left knee will likely not heal until the season is over, but the real issue is how far into the playoffs can wade go on it.

Wade's slashing aggressive off style is greatly hampered by a sub par left knee, as was evident with his 5 points game three against Indiana. Wade without his cutting ability is like Tina Fey without her Sarah Palin imitation, just not the same. Miami remains mum about the exact condition of Wade's knee, but it will certainly be an ongoing issue now that Miami is in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Pau Gasol Expects To Be Traded

by Mike Brouillet

Thursday, May 24, 2012 09:13 AM

Pau Gasol told reporters on Thursday that he expects to be traded.

HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: Gasol will not return next year as a Laker.

Pau Gasol's duties with the Los Angeles Lakers officially ended on Wednesday. The question that remains is whether this is the end of the line for Gasol in LA. He struggled through trade rumors earlier in the year when it looked like the Lakers were going to acquire Chris Paul, but after those negotiations fell apart, Gasol position on the team was never quite the same.
