The Point God Battle
We know that Chris Paul is the president and Deron Williams is the vice president, but who is the undisputed speaker of the house?
Some will say Jose Calderon.
Others will pick the dazzling rookie Derrick Rose (although I believe he will become the undisputed third party soon; just not now).
Even some will still say it’s Steve Nash or Jason Kidd until they retire.
The minority can even claim Ramon Sessions to be that third guy unless Scott Skiles chooses not to play him any more starter minutes because he has a man crush for Luke Ridnour.
I can’t forget about Allen Iverson since he’s going to be the starting backcourt mate with Rip Hamilton.
Tony Parker has made his name relevant again. With his 55 point, 10 assist, 7 rebound performance against The Minnesota Timberwolves, Tony Parker threw his vote in. I know, I know. It’s against the Wolves; one of the bottom feeding teams in the league. They put up a great fight though and Parker came through. If he didn’t perform this way, Spurs would have gone down 0-4 to start the season. Perhaps Parker’s monster stats say more about the under performing team itself. That’s not a good sign and to barely win against Minny with a healthy Tim Duncan…speaks volumes.
As of right now, Tony Parker should be the speaker of the House because he’s going to have to step up his game since the rest of the crew is aging. I trust that he will. When Manu Ginobli comes back from his injury, Parker’s numbers will decrease, but not much. I think he’s the third guy.
So who do you think is the third point guard behind Paul and Deron?Throw in your vote below and explain why.
