NBA wish lists for Christmas vol. 2009-2010 (Atlantic Division)
I’m breaking this down per division. I’m not going to explain what they need to do. Rather, I’ll explain each team has to do as well as their wants and needs; simplified and easy. No need to get technical. After all, this is a merely a wish list.
Boston Celtics – Rajon Rondo wants everyone to not hate him so much. The kid is averaging 12 points, about 4 boards, almost 10 assists and has a league leading 2.7 steals per game. The team is on cruise control right now, but they can’t be playing down to their competition as evidenced recently when they almost lost to the Indiana Pacers at home. Thank goodness Ray Allen woke up. They have to maintain the killer edge every night because the Los Angeles Lakers are going full throttle, too. They need to stay injury free.
Toronto Raptors – If you were Chris Bosh, what would you do? Does he wish to get away? They need to keep winning.
New York Knicks – Somebody tell Mike D’Antoni to stop being such a control freak. They need the coach to relax. Nate Robinson deserves better, too. What in the world does the coach have against Lil Nate? This dude beat Dwight Howard in a dunk contest, man. Come on, dude. Does he have to break out the lime green shoes? Trade him then. This situation reflects terribly on D’Antoni. How is he going to have a gripe against a little dude? Did he dunk over Mike in practice? Danilo Gallinari woke up showing signs that he’s a great piece to be packaged away in a trade since this team is full of bad contracts. Personally, I’d keep The Rooster and please stop thinking about 2010. Who are we kidding? No one wants anything from this roster. Just let the contracts expire. That’s what they have to do. Also, stop mentioning Lebron James for once. Stop wishing. Why would Danilo Gallinari appeal to LBJ coming to the Knicks? “Oh! I’ll sign with the Knicks because I JUST HAVE to play with The Rooster!”
Philadelphia Sixers – This team is more talented than the Knicks yet NY has won more games. How sad is that? Is this Eddie Jordan’s fault? Or is this Elton Brand’s fault? I was one of the first to proclaim Brand as “not much of a difference maker.” I was proven right. What team wants him now? They wished they didn’t sign Brand and probably even Allen Iverson. This season is a wash anyway. Develop Marreese Speights. Sixers fans wish Andre Iguodala really was Lebron or Scottie Pippen.
New Jersey Nets – Don’t blow up this team. You have a lot of good young talent here. Just wish for something positive to come out of this and that’s the development of Brook Lopez. Please tell Santa to make him into Tim Duncan 2.0. Also write on the wish list that Devin Harris finds the Devin Harris of last season to make the season entertaining to deal with at least. Can Santa and Rudolph land them the top pick in the draft in 2010? Usually having the worst record does not land that. They need to develop faster.
Come to think of it, minus Boston, the Atlantic Division sucks.
