The Adventures of Allen Iverson in Turkey

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

Who cares? What I want to know is if Allen Iverson is demolishing his opponents in Europe and the American public isn’t able to see it, will he receive the appropriate appreciation?

Hopefully, we won’t have to find out. Iverson played his first game for Besiktas Colaturka Istanbul yesterday. He scored 15 points, grabbed three rebounds, had two assists, two turnovers and shot 40% in a loss. You can actually watch the last few minutes of the game below. Besiktas gave it away down the stretch.

And in case you were wondering how Iverson is doing and where his head is at, there’s a pretty decent interview with him posted below. It was conducted apparently by Robin Leach, or his voice double. I’d guess that AI’s lifestyle is now a far cry from rich right now, but reports are that his level of fame in Turkey is still quite high.
