Bowen final cut on USA Basketball Team

Bruce Bowen was the last player to be cut from USA Basketball Team today when Jerry Colangelo announced the final 12 men roster to play in the 2006 World Basketball Championship.
Bowen, considered as one of the best defenser in the NBA, did not score much during exhibition games and was the final cut on the American team after Gilbert Arena was forced out of the team due to a groin injury.
"This has been a great process. It’s difficult especially when you get down to the end because you get so attached to the last members of the team. Gilbert and Bruce are every bit a part of this team as the 12 others guys. It’s just we can only go forward with 12," Krzyzewski said.
Bowen and Arena remain however part of the list of USA Basketball players to compete for a spot on the 2008 Olympic team.
