The early season trade of Allen Iverson for Detroit Piston Chauncey Billups completely changed the look of the NBA for several reasons. Iverson brought his exciting, instant scoring to Detroit while Billups provided veteran leadership and big shot ability to Denver.
After the trade was made, many sneaker fans of the Iverson line questioned how it would affect his shoe line, particularly dealing with colorways.
After all, Iverson has always strictly been loyal to his team’s colors, often allowing his line to produce team colorways in honor. But with the early season trade, Iverson instantly switched from powder blue and yellow to dark blue and red.

If the words "Dee Brown covered his eyes!" mean nothing to you, you might want to drop your cash on something more contemporary. Reebok gives a nod to one of the more memorable stuffs in contest history and the man responsible for it with their release of this shoe, and I've a feeling old heads are going to be all over it.
An image of Brown's blind, leaning dunk is emblazoned on the insole, but otherwise the design of the sneaker remains unchanged since it first hit the stores back in 1991. The patented pump system and hexalite cushioning might have been refined or replaced by superior technologies in later years, but they can't be beaten for retro appeal. Look for this one to hit the shelves on April 1st.
