Rapper Macklemore Doesn’t Want OKC Playing His Hit Song.
Seattle based rapper Macklemore doesn’t want Durant and the Thunder using his music for inspiration.
HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: Maybe it will make Macklemore feel better that his music is inspiring OKC to get eliminated?
Seattle based rapper Macklemore blew up on the national level last year with the smash hit “Can’t hold us.” Macklemore grew up a die-hard Seattle Supersonics fan, so it’s understandable that he has a bad taste in his mouth watching the team that abandoned Seattle get pumped up prior to their playoff games listening to his hit single. Like any good celebrity, he took to twitter to voice his discontent.
We at HoopsVibe think Macklemore needs to look on the bright side. It’s obviously not working. The Thunder are down 3 games to 1 against the Memphis Grizzlies and about to be tossed out of the playoffs. Once this happens, Macklemore can simply worry about album sales and downloads, instead of preventing Oklahoma City Thunder players from listening to his music for inspiration.
Did we mention how much we’d love to have these types of problems? Must be tough waking up every morning worried that your hit single might be so popular people you don’t like will still purchase your music.
