’The War’, YPA’s 2nd DVD

YPA called HoopsVibe and offered us the opportunity to review their new DVD "The War" before its release scheduled for May, 15 2005.

After listening to a couple members of the YPA crew telling me on the phone how great their new DVD was, my expectations were set pretty high.

The first positive aspect when you start watching the DVD is the usage of a menu, which has not always been used in the past on streetball DVD’s. This features makes it easier to jump to a scene or watch directly the additional features.

"The War" gave an opportunity to YPA CEO’s Courtney "Court" Smith to clarify’s the "And1" situation that animated Summer 04’s streetball scene.

The rest of the DVD is pure streetball! Exile shows an incredible all-around game. 757 and Reemix dunk the ball on every play. Ghost and King Handles shake others with their dribbles.

"The War" includes incredible additional footage such as the target practice, which I would call a dunk battle. A player tries to dunk the ball while one or two others try to block his dunk. A must see!

It also includes an edited version of the "YPA Player Ball 2K4 All-Star Game". A 15-minute selection of the best moves and dunks form the best streetball players. Don’t miss the half-time slam dunk including Reemix’s famous "Off Glass Windmill" and "360 Windmill".

If you like watching streetball videos, make sure to get "The War". If you were always reluctant to watch streetball videos, this is the one to start with!
