Another NBA Flip-Flop; Ron Artest With Sacramento Kings Or New York Knicks?July 10 07 The NBA is into flip-flops. No, I’m not referring to summertime ’kicks.’ I’m referring to the newest trend amongst players and coaches, who have been changing their minds about where to ply their trade. Artest’s situation is interesting. NBA GMs are crazy about his game, but aren’t crazy about his so-called craziness. Isiah Thomas, the Knicks’ GM, seems willing to take a chance on Artest. There are two perspectives on Zeke’s interest. On the one hand, he deserves credit. Thomas is constantly investigating ways to improve his team. Artest, the player, can help, so he’s talking to the Kings. On the other hand, Thomas needs to consider team chemistry. They’ve already got Stephon Marbury, Eddy Curry, and Zach Randolph. Now he wants to bring in Artest. How many strong personalities can one team handle? I’m not sure about Artest returning to The Big Apple. Sure, the forward gets into trouble, but I don’t think he’s a bad guy-just misdirected.
