Greatest dunk in Team USA’s history: Wade’s windmill, Anthony’s tomahawk, or Carter’s leapfrog?

August 05 08

The comparisons were inevitable. After all, Dwyane Wade windmill jammed a lob pass with such ferocity against Lithuania shockwaves registered in the country’s capital of Vilnius.

Hoop heads, after watching the Wade highlight, surely reminisced on Carmelo Anthony’s 2007 Tournament of the Americas stutter-step and tomahawk jam against Argentina. Others had millennium flashbacks. Yes, the world survived Y2K, but fans barely survived Vince Carter leapfrogging a 7-2 French dude at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Now the debate has begun. All three poster-jobs were great, but which is the greatest in Team USA’s history?

Option 1: Dwyane Wade, 2008 exhibition game against Lithuania.

Option 2: Carmelo Anthony, 2007 Tournament of the Americas.

Option 3: Vince Carter, 2000 Sydney Olympics (complete with crazy ’Euro’ broadcasters).

As a Wade fan, I’m loving the way my boy is steppin up against dem Euros, but! I must admit, that Vince dunk was sick! 1. Vince 2. Wade 3. Melo .

pointless debate

there sholdnt be any debate...carter did a much better alley oop windmill in australia 2000. and anthnoy’s dunk shouldnt be even considered as one of top 3. VC’s dunk is just unbelivable and it was the first dunk in top 10 all time. i mean..this debate is pointless. .

Vince Carter without a doubt and I believe that Vince’s windmill alley-oop against the USA Select team in Hawaii was better than Wade’s as well, much more fluid motion. Both Wade and Carmelo pulled off amazing dunks though. .

WHY IS THIS A DEBATE?!!?firstly... carter’s over 7 footer was the greatest in game dunk..secondly.. carter has done much better posters and better alley oop windmills in his time then wade and anthonythis SHOULD NEVER be a debate .

Until someone jumps over a seven foot tall man again, Vince’s dunk will reign supreme. .

I’ll take Wade’s dunk. That was nuts. Although the reaction to VC was nuts .
