How Chris Bosh Is Living In New York: Rocawear Clothes, Icy Jewelry, & Promoting EA Sports

Throughout the 2007-08 season, HoopsVibe The Blog has been giving readers a glimpse into the lives of NBA Stars. How I’m Living isn’t about exposing or embarrassing anyone; in fact, our goal is to highlight a player’s lifestyle away from the hardwood.

Out last edition gave you a tour of Greg Oden’s pre-Portland pad. Today, we’re shopping in New York City with the great Chris Bosh.

 Chris Bosh (5^th season, Toronto Raptors)

Day Job: He’s the graceful, soft-spoken forward leading the basketball renaissance in snowy Toronto. But unlike the Raptors’ past stars, Bosh puts his team first and sets a positive example with his work ethic.

Don’t get it confused. The smooth left-hander isn’t all work and no play. During a feature interview three years ago, he warned me that Texas hip hop was about to hit the mainstream. And the All-Star is known to enjoy a little down-time in Toronto’s restaurants and malls.

How I’m Living Skill: On a trip to New York City, Bosh plays fashion designer. At the Rocawear office, he picks out two ‘hoody’ sweatshirts and then jokes about owning Jamaican flag colored kicks in multi-cultural Toronto.

 “Yo, Chris Bosh where you get those? You be puttin’ it down.”

From there, CB4 check out a Manhattan jewelry shop, laughs off some excessive ice, and makes a cameo at the NBA store to promote EA Sports’ newest game.
