’Must-See’ NBA Game For November 7th: Undefeated L.A. Clippers Versus Mike Dunleavy & Undefeated Indiana Pacers

November 07 07

Each day during the 2007-8 season, HoopsVibe The Blog will highlight one ‘Must-See’ NBA game. The ‘Must-See’ game is our pick as the day’s best match-up.

Of course, we’re tuning in to all the day’s action and want to know what games interest you, so hit us up in the comment box below with your NBA plans for this evening.

NBA schedule for November 7th 2007

  • Phoenix @ Atlanta
  • L.A. Clippers @ Indiana
  • Charlotte @ Philadelphia
  • Orlando @ Toronto
  • Denver @ Boston
  • Miami @ San Antonio
  • Memphis @ Seattle
  • New Orleans @ Portland
  • Cleveland @ Utah
Our ’Must-See’ game: L.A. Clippers @ Indiana.

Why: Surprise, surprise NBA fans. Tonight’s game between the Clippers and Pacers is a battle between two undefeated teams. Didn’t see L.A. and Indiana jumping out to a fast start? Well, you’re not alone.

Through three games, the Clippers have received balanced scoring from Chris Kaman, Corey Maggette, Cat Mobley, and Tim Thomas. Brevin Knight and a healthy Sam Cassell have stabilized the point guard spot.

L.A.’s other team are better than most analysts thought. If Elton Brand returns by All-Star break, they could challenge for a playoff spot.

In pre-season, Pacer coach Jim O’Brien claimed Mike Dunleavy, Jr. had been his best player. To me, such statements showed the veteran sideline boss had lost his feel for the game. Through five NBA seasons, Dunleavy had been a disappointment.

But O’Brien saw something everyone else missed. It’s still early, but Dunleavy has looked like a star, averaging 22 points and an impressive nine rebounds.

The former Dukie is getting plenty of help, though. The athletic Danny Granger is keeping stat guys busy, averaging 23 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.

The Pacers now have options. They can keep Jermaine O’Neal and make a run for the playoffs or they can trade him for blue-chip prospects/cap relief.

Bottom line: things are looking up in Indiana.

Clippers are good every season start..but after the all stars ends, injury plague them...While Pacers are young, problem might arise from their lack of experience in the playoffs. I think for Clippers and Pacers, they must trade Elton Brand for O’Neal. Crazy ??? nope its logical. Pacers need a good low post because of the need veteran inside the shade. While Clippers needs Rebounder and blocker because guards are talented. .
