Round Three: Analyzing DeShawn Stevenson’s Latest Crack On LeBron JamesMarch 20 08  My Quick Take: Somewhere, boxing godfather Don King and wrestling promoter Vince McMahon are smiling. After all, DeShawn Stevenson and LeBron James have traded quips like prize fighters or WWE characters before a big match. For those living under a rock, Stevenson called James “overrated” after Thursday’s Wizards-Cavaliers game. On Monday, The King went hip-hop with his response, comparing his situation with Stevenson to Jay-Z beefing with Soulja Boy. Well, round three hit today. Stevenson came back hard to Washington Post insiders Michael Lee and Ivan Carter: "I hope we play Cleveland," Stevenson said. "I’m going to get Soulja Boy courtside seats and have him wear a DeShawn Stevenson jersey. Maybe (James) can have Jay-Z there since LeBron’s all on his (shorts) anyway."
Stevenson wasn’t done.
"And tell LeBron to cut that beard off and stop copying me."
These two have personal issues. Lee and Carter reported on their blog that James recently bad-mouthed Stevenson to former teammate Drew Gooden. Of course, Gooden ran James’ comments back to Stevenson, which probably contributed to the post getting traded from Cleveland to Chicago at the deadline.
Hopefully, the Wizards and Cavaliers meet in the playoffs because bad blood makes for entertaining basketball. Like I said, King and McMahon must be smiling. on 03.22.2008 | What Lebron James said is pretty arrogant. I mean Kobe may be arrogant during his younger , but i am sure he will never say he is "superior" to another player. Lebron has no honor, nor any level of human principles, well at least in his statements, he didnt show it.. I am very happy that many fans are finally realizing how Lebron James is overrated. We do not want a person like that you thinks to highly of himself for our kids to see. I was really touched by Manu Ginobilii’s comments here. I think it all make sense on how nice and well bred guys are underrated while juvenile, uneducated, and cocky individuals are overrated. That is what the media feeds our children. All Stevenson said is speak the truth and most of America agrees he is tremendously overhyped by the standards and quality of his accomplishments. on 03.21.2008 | Do Jay Z deserves Biance’? Do Lebron deserves to talk as if he is superior to other NBA ballers? these two are shallow people and that’s make them bestfriends. If you look at it on what Lebron said that he is Jay Z and Stevenson is Souljah Boy, and how funny is it and makes no sense, you can tell how he tries to show off his cockiness and at the same time belittle Stevenson because he is a better player. Stevenson "The Most Honest Person in the NBA"
on 03.21.2008 | Stevenson’s honesty is admirable. Someone who does not have a superstar status like the likes of LEbron, Kobe, Duncan, Garnett, Nash, Wade, and Nowitzki was able to speak the truth. Manu I like you comments here, I think it all make sense how you open people’s eyes about Tim Duncan. He is a very classy guy as you mentioned and by far deserves more attention from the media than Lebron. Lebron is really overrated and Tim Duncan is the least appreciated player in the league. Come to think of it, he is the best player in the last 10 years in the NBA, yet people get fussed about arrogant and overrated Lebron. on 03.21.2008 | Duncan was offered to play NBA ball by his sophomore year, but he promised his mother who died, that he would finish college. Indeed, he completed college, got his education, and therefore was already an educated, respectful human being, professional, and mature when he came to the NBA. As a young kid, he did not have much confidence, he suffered from depression doe to his mother’s death and eventual father’s death as well. Yet he remained humble to the game and is the most SUCCESSFUL NBA PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW. He was offered a $55 million 2 year contract extension by the Spurs, WHICH WOULD HAVE OFFICIALLY MADE HIM THE HIGHEST PAID PLAYER IN THE NBA, he then rejects it because he wanted the Spurs not to exceed the salary cap and be able to sign lucrative free agents. Have you every heard of a classy guy like Duncan, who is a superstar, much more accomplished than Lebron, yet the media would rather concentrate on publicizing Lebrons arrogance for higher ratings. Lebron is uneducated, he never went to college, he wanted the money already. Hell, he accepted money from various agents to buy his escalades with 28 rims. He would never sacrifice his mone for the benefit of the team, that is why he only signed a 3 year deal with the Cavs so he can opt out in two years and make more. The Cavs are now way above the salary cap and unable to sign a lucrative free agent. So who is a better player, and a better human being, Lebron or Duncan? HAHA Yall know the answer.
