Round Three: Analyzing DeShawn Stevenson’s Latest Crack On LeBron James

My Quick Take: Somewhere, boxing godfather Don King and wrestling promoter Vince McMahon are smiling. After all, DeShawn Stevenson and LeBron James have traded quips like prize fighters or WWE characters before a big match.

For those living under a rock, Stevenson called James “overrated” after Thursday’s Wizards-Cavaliers game. On Monday, The King went hip-hop with his response, comparing his situation with Stevenson to Jay-Z beefing with Soulja Boy.

Well, round three hit today. Stevenson came back hard to Washington Post insiders Michael Lee and Ivan Carter:

"I hope we play Cleveland," Stevenson said. "I’m going to get Soulja Boy courtside seats and have him wear a DeShawn Stevenson jersey. Maybe (James) can have Jay-Z there since LeBron’s all on his (shorts) anyway."

Stevenson wasn’t done.
"And tell LeBron to cut that beard off and stop copying me."

These two have personal issues. Lee and Carter reported on their blog that James recently bad-mouthed Stevenson to former teammate Drew Gooden. Of course, Gooden ran James’ comments back to Stevenson, which probably contributed to the post getting traded from Cleveland to Chicago at the deadline.

Hopefully, the Wizards and Cavaliers meet in the playoffs because bad blood makes for entertaining basketball. Like I said, King and McMahon must be smiling.

I’ve heard this before, blah blah blah, Lebron is king, he got money, he got skills, stevenson sucks, lebron is too superior to stevenson, blah blah blah. Now, for all you SUCK UPS, stick with the topic. Lebron is very well know to be COCKY AND ARROGANT. LEBRON KNOWS THAT HE IS OVERRATED TOO. If we just be honest rather than suck up to Lebron like sucking a straw, like some of you guys here, we all know well that the MEDIA OVERRATES LEBRON JAMES. STEVENSON, YOU ARE THE MAN FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH BABY! .

Lebron is obsess with himself. He thinks he is better than everybody. Kobe is by far much more modest than him. Kobe was overrated when he was young but at this point in his career, he deserves the credit for being able to compete in the West. If Lebron’s Cavs were in the West, they have a worst record and not close enough to make the playoffs since the top 9-10 teams are better than his. Although Kobe got so much hype, he was never as OVERRATED AS LEBRON. .

THIS GUY DOESNT HAVE A RING. THAT IS ENOUGH TO STATE THAT HE IS OVERRATED. YES YOU HERE IT FROM ME, LEBRON IS OVERRATED AND STEVENSON IS RIGHT ON TRACK! ANY SUPERSTAR IN THIS LEAGUE WOULD HAVE AN AWESOME STATS IF THEY PLAY FOR CLEVELAND. LEBRON WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PERFORM IN THE SAME LEVEL IF HE PLAYED FOR A TEAM THAT IS UNSELFISH LIKE THE SPURS, CELTICS, AND PISTONS. .

Brandon how did this became a money issue? Is it right for anotehr human being to brag about his money and fame, then belittle people? I can tell then that you are just like Lebron. Lebron is so cocky that he compares himself to Jay Z and Stevenson to Souljah Boy, as if he states that he is superior. How mature is that? Man, I am about to get sick on how the media overhype a player who can obviously play but cannot win the biggest prize in the NBA, and we all know he aint good enough to win one. WHAT AN OVERRATED PLAYER! .

Who is hating here? Nbody is hating here, nobody said Lebron sucks. Lebron is a good player, but he is overrated. That is the argument here. I cannot stand how obsessed fans of Lebron treat Stevenson as if he has no right to speak his mind. This is not a superior-inferior issue, it is a debate on whether Lebron deserves the hype that the media is giving him. If we look at some of the evidences, his acomplish feats are insufficient to garner attention because the bigges thing and the most important to play for is not individual stats, but is winning. Ask Lebron what happened when he faced the Spurs, he choked against Bruce Bowen. He is not good enough to carry his team on his back because he is egotistical, selfish, and full of himself. Stevenson is the man in this case! .

why r all yall hating on lebron sure that was an uneccessary comment but he is a top 3 player in the league hands down and by no means is overrated he is as good as advertised and the future of the nba .

I don’t want to change the subject to hip hop, but what is Lebron trying to say by comparing Jay-Z and Soulja boy because Soulja fricken sucks! Anyway i think Lebron may be alittle overrated but nothing for Stevenson to cry over. These two need to grow up and act like men. .
