Shannon Brown’s best poster-job dunk: Mikki Moore, Chris Anderson, or the Charlotte Bobcats?

October 10 09
It wasn’t Jordan Farmar’s CSI appearance, Ron Artest’s never-ending promotional tour, or Lamar Odom’s wedding that made headlines with the Los Angeles Lakers last Thursday.

Instead, amazingly, it was a basketball highlight.

Reserve guard Shannon Brown, who was a pleasant surprise in last year’s playoff, continues to make a case for regular minutes off the bench with a coast-to-coast, poster-job jam over Golden State’s Mikki Moore.

Of course, Brown’s aerial antics shouldn’t be a shock. The table-setter threw-down on Denver’s Chris Anderson in the 2009 Western Conference Finals and, back in the day with Cleveland, was known for exciting LeBron James with a facial or two.

What Brown dunk is your favorite? Watch the three clips and get at us with thoughts in the comment box.

(Victim #1: Moore.)

(Victim #2: ’Birdman’ Anderson.)

(Victim #3: Charlotte’s frontcourt.)

Ive been a fan of shannon brown since he was a michigan state. Thanks all the dunks were great but the one on Mikki Moore was a staement dunk! it read,"I wanna play!" lol He brought the ball up the court as a point guard but his scoring mentality kicked in. A Scorer is a Scorer first regargless!I like the Idea of show a not so known baller rather than always showing a star! I mean come on we expect it out of the stars so it’s really not that exiting. When I seen that dunk on moore I screamed OOOOO, then my wife imediatly screamed baby are you ok! Thanks for the excitement! .

Dan: I was thinking the same thing! He fits the criteria perfectly as a young player! Brown, Howard, and Nate ... not sure about the fourth candidate! Thanks for reading and commenting. .

I see Brown playing a major role for the Lakers. He is the next Jarret Jack, a top back-up, especially since the Lakers haven’t extended Jordan Farmar!!! .

Hi folks: a couple of points.

First, Jay, I suppose you don’t read ESPN, Yahoo sports, Fan house, or Slam because they use youtube video all the time. It’s a staple in most blogs. Second, Original Snika I hope you don’t leave because your contributions have been great and I have enjoyed the discussion it has prompted. As a writer, I don’t have access to know where certain comments come from and tracking. If I could help you out, I would and have forwarded the situation to the powers that be. Thanks for reading. .

If u dont think any of those dunks were quality why watch basketball and hell if someone wants to right about a quality dunk (no 3 of them) and in turn brings it to our attention then that becomes a quality article. .

Shannon Brown is a baller. If you don’t think so, then you just don’t know yet. In his first game as a Laker, he had a crazy block on a fast break. Ever since then, we all knew what was up. Not to mention all those highlights were during his 1st and 2nd years. He is just starting his 3rd year. Shannon Brown is the new Trevor Ariza. .
