Like Earl The Pearl: Goran Dragic’s spin on Derek Fisher

HoopsVibe’s Call: He’s gone from Euro bust to Steve Nash’s successor.

Yes, we’re talking about Goran Dragic, the second year point guard who is making his bones as a legitimate NBA player this playoff.

And Dragic will surely have the water coolers, playgrounds, and coffee houses chatting with his highlight reel hoop against the Lakers in game four of the Western Conference Finals.

The Slovenian initially froze Derek Fisher with a crossover, then blew by the veteran with a spin, and switched hands before sinking an improbable lay-up. The entire sequence looked like former NBA great Earl ‘The Pearl’ Monroe, who was known for embarrassing defenders with his trademark spin.

Watch the clips below, comment on Dragic’s spin and tell us if it was reminiscent of Earl The Pearl?

(Dragic on Fisher.)

(Dragic surely learned his spin from The Pearl!)
