Johan Petro will defend and dance for New Jersey Nets

The Nets have reached a three-year, $10 million agreement with free-agent center Johan Petro, according to Adrian Wojnarawoski of Yahoo! Sports.

Petro will play behind Brook Lopez after spending two seasons with the Nuggets.

HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: He’s a decent on-court addition.

Johan Petro will bang, rebound, block shots, and defend. And the Frenchman is a serviceable back-up for budding star Brook Lopez.

As usual, the New Jersey Nets signed him for reasonable money, and it’s the latest example of the organization bringing in young, undervalued players.

However, Petro has another skill: dancing.

As a rookie with the Seattle Super Sonics, he busted a serious move at a team event, and even got busy on opening night when introduced over the PA.
