Ray Allen on Lebron’s ‘lunch’ comment: Boston is a ‘smorgasbord’

In advance of the Celtics-Heat series, Ray Allen sat down to chat with ESPN Boston’s Jackie MacMullan. Asked about LeBron James’ dubbing the 76ers "breakfast," Allen notes about Boston, "You gotta have a big appetite, because we’re a smorgasbord."

Hoopsvibe’s Very Quick Call: Touché Ray Allen.
The NBA’s all-time leading three-pointer shooter had a nice little response for LeBron James, who has been referring to the Miami Heat’s playoff opponents as meals.
The Philadelphia 76ers was ‘breakfast’. The Boston Celtics are apparently ‘lunch’.
The 2010 Eastern Conference champions don’t see the humour in James’ metaphors. They’re not responding though, except for Allen’s smorgasbord comment.
Expect the veteran-laden Celtics to be ready. After all, the Three Kings were instantly dubbed the team to beat in the east, while Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo’s past achievements were overlooked.
Now James has given them bulletin board material. But Allen knows the best response would be for his Celtics to win the series.
