Knicks Raymond Felton Injured And Out A Month

Raymond Felton of the Knicks will be out a month with a broken pinky finger.

HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: The Knicks have looked too good to be true all season. Is this the reality check?

A recent X-ray of Felton’s pinky showed 7 fractures. The doctors are saying this will take 4-6 weeks to heal and the Knicks guard will be sorely missed. Felton is averaging 15.8 PPG, 6.3 APG, and 2.9 RPG for the surging Knicks.

This production is above his career average and is much needed in the Knicks offensive flow. Amare Stoudemire is returning to the Knick, but that holds more questions than ever. Felton is a guard that can both create his own shot and help others get into their offense. His 6.3 assists per game demonstrate his ability to distribute the ball. Stoudemire on the other hand is a big man that scores underneath. This would seem like something the Knicks are lacking, but in the small lineup they like to use, Stoudemire really hasn’t found a way to fit in and could likely be coming off the bench.

New York will now have to endure a serious stretch in the season without one of the key guards in their small lineup. Prepare for Knick offensive production to struggle.
