JaVale McGee’s Unique Celebration Of First Career Three (Video)

JaVale McGee doesn’t disappoint with his unique way of celebrating his first ever career 3-pointerer.

HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: I for one want to see more McGee 3-pointers just for the celebrations.

JaVale McGee’s Unique Celebration Of First Career Three (Video)

JaVale McGee has played four seasons in the NBA and attempted four 3-pointers in that time frame. We can assume most of those 3-pointers were at the end of halves and quarters where he presumably launched the ball from half-court.

Well McGee apparently has been holding back. At the end of the third quarter in the Los Angeles Clippers vs. the Denver Nuggets game yesterday McGee channeled his inner Ray Allen and drained a 3-pointer to give the Nuggets a 75 to 59 lead. McGee then started licking his fingers like he was a 3-point shooting machine and had caught fire.

I’m sure the Nuggets are hoping McGee doesn’t believe he is now a 3-point shooter. As many coaches have often said, “The worst thing that can happen to a player that’s not a good shooter is to make a deep shot.” It will often trick them into thinking they are now a shooter and they’ll launch another hundred ill-conceived shots. For now let us all simply appreciate the celebration that is all McGee’s.
