Former NBA Player and Current NBA Analyst Punches His Co-Host.
Former NBA player and current NBA analyst punches his co-host in the face.
HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: Shame this wasn’t Shaq or Barkley. It also would have bee cool on air.
Kendall Gill, a 15-year veteran of the NBA, punched his co-host at Comcast SportsNet in the face during an argument about a ref’s call. Gill called the basket interference call against the Chicago Bulls’ Joakim Noah with 1.7 seconds left on the clock “a very bad call on the officials’ part.” Gills co-host Tim Doyle didn’t agree. The two got into a heated argument over the call that eventually lead to shoving and Gill punching Doyle.
Reportedly, Gill and Doyle had disagreed about the play on-air and following the broadcast Gill confronted Doyle. That’s is when the fight jumped-off. No serious injuries were reported, although Doyle was said to be bleeding.
Is it just me or does everyone secretly wish this somehow involved Shaq or Charles Barkley?
CSN Chicago News Director Kevin Cross released a statement on the matter.
“We’re looking further into the incident that took place in our newsroom earlier today,” said CSN Chicago news director Kevin Cross in a statement late last night. “Until the investigation is complete, Kendall Gill will not be appearing on our air.”
