What team did Metta World Peace predict to win the NBA Finals?

According to Los Angeles Lakers Seargant and Arms Metta World Peace, the Spurs are going to win the NBA Championship this year.

Hoopsvibe’s quick call:  I’m just hoping we get to see a game 7.

TMZ was able to catch up with Metta World Peace briefly this week, and when the photog asked Metta who he thought would win the title, MWP didn’t hesitate before saying San Antonio would be the eventual champions.

The Miami Heat are the defending NBA Champs and haven’t lost a step.  And you really can’t say enough about what Lebron James is doing.  In the conference finals against the Pacers, LBJ averaged 29 points, 5.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game on 51% shooting from the field.  He’s making more shots than he’s missing.

But San Antonio is a damn good team, and has been winning games for a long time.

The Spurs have made it to the playoffs 23 out of the last 24 seasons (since 1990) and have not missed the postseason in 16 seasons; since Tim Duncan was drafted in 1997.

But the video footage of Metta’s prediction is pretty classic, as he decides to spell the word “Spurs” wrong.  “The Spurs.” he said.  “San Antonio.  S-P-E-R-S.”

So we know what Metta thinks, but what do you think?  Who will win the NBA Championship this season?  The “Spers” or the Heat??  Leave us your comments below!
