Trade Rumors: Twolves Will Make Move To Get Andre Iguodala.
Trade Rumors: Minnesota Timberwolves have the money, needs, and hunger to land Andre Iguodala this off-season.
HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: Looks like a great fit for everyone concerned except the Denver Nuggets who will be significantly weaker without Iguodala.
Off-season maneuvering is well underway for most NBA teams and the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to fill a few gaps. Their most glaring weakness is their need for a solid wing player who can both D-up and create some offense.
Iguodala would appear to be the best available option this off-season. He came to Denver from Philadelphia in the three-way deal that brought Dwight Howard to Los Angeles and is rumored to want out of Denver. When Iguodala opts out of his final year in Denver he will be looking for one last-long term payout for his career. Most experts are saying he can expect something in the neighborhood of 5 years / $80 million. Minnesota could be just the team to pay out too.
Iguodala averaged 13 points, 5.4 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 steals last season for 80 games and would be expected to produce similar numbers in Minnesota that as star players like Love and Rubio, but has been plagued by injuries.
