David Lee balls hard at Rucker Park (video)
David Lee just became the most recent NBA star to produce a highlight reel at New York's legendary Rucker Park.
Hoopsvibe's quick call: Once you ball out at Rucker, you enter an exclusive club and increase your street cred ten fold.
Rucker Park is an outdoor basketball court located in the Harlem borough of New York City. Some of the best ballers in the history of the game today, including Wilt Chamberlain, Dr. J, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kenny Anderson (among many others) have all graced the famous outdoor court with their presence. On Monday, August 1st, 2011, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant played at Rucker for the first time in his life; and dropped 66 points! It was one of the more legendary performances by any player in Rucker Park's history.
Well recently it was Golden State Warriors big man David Lee's turn to light it up on Harlem's most famous court. Lee, who has spent the last months recovering from a hip injury, looked healthier than ever in his Rucker debut. Check out the highlights of Lee at Rucker Park below.
Who will be the next NBA baller to excite the crowd at Rucker Park? Who knows. I just hope I'm there for it.
