Nate-Rob works on handles in the airport (video)
A video was recently posted online of NBA point guard Nate Robinson dribbling around random strangers in an airport. And it's a pretty cool video clip.
Hoopsvibe's quick call: A crowded airport seems like a good place to work on dribbling skills. No wonder Nate-Rob has such sick handles.
On Tuesday, Robinson posted a video to his Instagram account that showed the Nuggets new point guard dribbling in and out of random pedestrians in an airport. I'm not sure who the camera man is exactly but you can hear him in the background of the video saying "split the defenders, Nate, split the defenders." And Nate Robb is doing just that; weaving in, out and around people as he dribbles through the terminal. Some people don't acknowledge his presence, while others actually try and D him up! Check out the video below, it's worth 15 seconds of your time.
Nate Robinson has always been one of my favorite athletes. It's not because we were born 22 days apart (although I do enjoy that fact), but more because despite being one of the shortest players in the NBA today at 5 feet 9 inches tall, the dude is a baller. In the absence of Derrick Rose, Robinson stepped in huge for the Chicago Bulls last season averaging over 13 points and 4 assists in 82 regular season games, and over 16 points and 4 assists in the playoffs, including a ridiculous 34-point performance in the Bulls' triple overtiime win in game 4 of the first round of the playoffs against the Nets.
He has since been traded to the Nuggets and signed a two-year contract with the team this summer.
Anyone traveling to Denver, be on the lookout for Nate Robb in the airport. You might have a chance to try and D him up.
