The Hornets scored the first eight points of the extra session to take
control. Smith scored inside, before Armstrong nailed a three-pointer to make
it 94-89. New Orleans then got the ball back and Smith drained a three-point
shot to give the Hornets a 97-89 advantage with 2:38 remaining in overtime.

extend the lead to 100-90 with 1:31 left. Davis later sank four foul shots in
the final 40 seconds to seal it.

The Hornets are off until Friday when they face the Los Angeles Lakers at New
Orleans Arena.
