Heat’s Allen has successful surgery
Miami, FL (Sports Network) – Miami Heat forward Malik Allen underwent
successful surgery Thursday to remove a bone spur on his right foot, team
president Pat Riley announced.
He is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks.
Allen, 25, has averaged 4.4 points and 3.6 rebounds off the bench in five
games for Miami this season. He re-signed with the team in September.
In 73 starts last season, Allen posted career highs with 9.6 points and 5.3
rebounds, and led the Heat with 78 blocked shots.
