(Sports Network) – The Orlando Magic finished 0-5 on their five-game
homestand after suffering a 100-71 setback Friday to the Minnesota
Tyronn Lue tied a career high with 25 points for Orlando. He also handed out
seven assists. Drew Gooden netted 14 points and Juwan Howard ended with 13 for
the Magic, who never led in the contest.
Tracy McGrady managed just four points on 2-of-10 shooting for Orlando.
Orlando activated forward Pat Garrity from the injured list and placed guard
Gordan Giricek on the IL with a strained right arch. Garrity, who was
sidelined with a right knee injury, saw his first action of the season and
scored two points in 17 minutes.
Rookie guard Keith Bogans was also activated by the Magic and had three points
in 24 minutes against Minnesota. He missed the first five games of the regular
season with right knee patella tendinitis.
Orlando (1-5) is off to its worst start since 1990-91, when the club began
0-6. The Magic travel to Houston to meet the Rockets on Saturday.
