Kenyon Martin makes return
East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) – New Jersey Nets forward Kenyon Martin
was in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s 85-71 loss to the San Antonio
Spurs after missing nearly two weeks with a sprained left ankle. He scored 14
points and 10 rebounds, while making just 7-of-21 shots.
Martin was injured in a win over Minnesota on October 31 while jumping to
block a shot by Latrell Sprewell.
In three games this season, Martin has averaged 17.0 points and 10.3
rebounds. Last year, Martin posted career-bests of 16.7 points and 8.4
boards in 77 games as the Nets made the NBA Finals for the second straight
