Miami Heat Team Report – November 13

=== Miami Heat Team Report – November 13 ===

(Sports Network) – Eddie Jones had a game-high 25 points to lead the Miami
Heat to their first win of the season, an 88-83 victory over the Cleveland
Cavaliers on Wednesday at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Lamar Odom had a double-double for the second straight game with 14 points and
10 assists for the Heat. Dwyane Wade put on a show for his rookie counterpart,
LeBron James, with 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists, as Miami ended
a seven-game skid.

Cleveland came back to cut a Miami fourth quarter lead that grew as large as
nine points down to three with less than a minute and a half to play. Two
James free throws, an Zydrunas Ilgauskas dunk and a jumper by Carlos Boozer
made the score 86-83.

But Cleveland blew its last chance when Jones’ pressure defense on James led
to Ilgauskas’ pass skipping off the rookie and out of bounds with less than 20
seconds remaining. Wade iced the game with two free throws to give Stan Van
Gundy his first win as an NBA head coach.

Udonis Haslem led Miami with 10 rebounds.

The Heat are off until Friday when they host the Washington Wizards.
