(Sports Network) – Milwaukee suffered a home loss Wednesday, as the Seattle
SuperSonics defeated the Bucks, 104-99, at the Bradley Center.
Michael Redd and Toni Kukoc scored 20 apiece to lead the Bucks, who have
dropped three of their last five. Tim Thomas contributed 14 points and a game-
high 13 rebounds in the loss.
Tied 51-51 at halftime, the game remained tight throughout the third quarter
as Seattle held a slim 78-76 heading into the fourth. The Bucks then pulled
ahead and led by three with seven minutes remaining before Vladimir
Radmanovic’s three knotted the score at 87-87.
Rookie T.J. Ford drained a pair of free throws at the other end to restore the
Milwaukee lead, but Rashard Lewis came right back with a three to give Seattle
a 90-89 edge.
That bucket ignited an 11-4 run, capped by another Radmanovic three that gave
the Sonics a 98-93 advantage with 2:48 remaining.
Thomas’ layup with just 32 seconds left pulled the Bucks within four at
103-99, but the Sonics had a chance to put it away when Lewis stepped to the
line for a pair of free throws. He missed both, however, and Milwaukee
rebounded the ball.
But the Bucks couldn’t convert on a pair of three-point attempts at the other
end, and Ronald Murray put the game away with a free throw for the final
The Bucks are off until Saturday when they host the Utah Jazz.
