(Sports Network) – The Pacers escaped Madison Square Garden with a narrow
95-94 win over the New York Knicks on Saturday night. Jermaine O’Neal’s first
basket of the second half with three seconds to go lifted Indiana to the win.
O’Neal finished with 14 points and a team-high six rebounds, while Anthony
Johnson had 11 off the bench for the Pacers
Reggie Miller once again put forth a stellar performance at Madison Square
Garden, quieting the crowd with a season-high 31 points. He hit 10 of his 12
shots from the field — including 6-of-7 from three-point range — and
converted 5-of-6 from the line for the Pacers, who remained unbeaten in five
road tilts this season.
Miller had not scored 30 points in a game since April 12, 2002.
Ron Artest added 21 points as Indiana emerged victorious despite being
outrebounded by a 50-29 margin.
The Pacers have won three straight meetings with the Knicks.
