Houston Rockets Team Report – November 17

=== Houston Rockets Team Report – November 17 ===

(Sports Network) – The Houston Rockets fell in double overtime to the
Toronto Raptors, 101-97, Sunday at Air Canada Centre.

Yao Ming scored 20 points and hauled down 12 rebounds and Steve Francis posted
25 points and seven boards. Cuttino Mobley scored 19 as the Rockets lost for
just the second time in seven games.

The Rockets led by two going into the fourth quarter, and built a lead as
large as eight points at 69-61 on a Yao bucket with just under nine minutes to
play. But Toronto came back to cut the lead to two points at 76-74 on a Davis
basket with four minutes to go.

The Raptors couldn’t get any closer until there were just 7.2 seconds left,
when Chris Bosh, this year’s fourth overall draft choice, nailed a baseline
three-pointer to tie the game at 83-83. It was his first career three-point
attempt, and Bosh had nine of the Raptors final 11 points in regulation.

Francis got a bad look at a potential game-winning shot at the other end,
throwing up a three-point attempt while stumbling out of bounds.

Lamond Murray hit a shot at the four-minute mark of the extra session, and
Bosh scored a minute and a half later to put Toronto up four. Francis
responded with a pair of free throws and a basket with 1:30 to go to knot
things up.

Kelvin Cato then scored to put the Rockets up two, but Bosh knocked down two
free throws to re-tie the game. Neither team could score in the final 38
seconds, sending the game to double overtime tied at 89.

Francis and Toronto’s Milt Palacio each scored four in the second OT, but it
was Bosh who took over, scoring a basket with 56 seconds to go and going 4-
of-4 from the charity stripe down the stretch to ice the game.

The Rockets play tonight in Philadelphia against Allen Iverson and the 76ers.
