(Sports Network) – Cleveland lost its 29th in a row away from home on
Saturday, as the Cavaliers were defeated by the Atlanta Hawks, 92-83, at
Philips Arena.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas paced Cleveland with 21 points and 10 boards. Ricky Davis
chipped in 16 points and LeBron James netted 15 for the Cavaliers, who
suffered their 29th consecutive road loss.

In the third quarter, James sank a pair of free throws with just over eight
minutes left in the period to pull Cleveland within 58-56. Atlanta then
countered with an 11-4 spurt, culminated by Terry’s three-pointer, to increase
the margin to nine at 69-60 with 3:41 remaining in the stanza.

The Hawks held a 73-66 advantage after 36 minutes and then opened the fourth
quarter with a 12-0 burst to grab a commanding 85-66 lead. Chris Crawford
scored all six of his points during the decisive run.

The Cavaliers’ drought finally ended when James hit a jumper with 6 1/2
minutes remaining. Cleveland would eventually cut the deficit to nine at 88-79
on Jason Kapono’s three-point shot with 2:02 left.

Abdur-Rahim then hit back-to-back jumpers to seal it.

Cleveland’s last road win occurred on January 12, 2003 at Seattle.

The Cavs were only 29-of-88 (33 percent) from the field.
Cleveland’s Carlos Boozer missed his third straight game with an ankle injury.

The Cavaliers are off until Wednesday when they visit Baron Davis and the New
Orleans Hornets.
