Piatkowski activated from injured list
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – The Houston Rockets activated swingman
Eric Piatkowski from the injured list Monday after he missed the first 12
games of the season with an ankle injury.
Piatkowski, signed in the offseason from the Los Angeles Clippers, was forced
to the injured list on Oct. 27 with a sprained left ankle after playing just
one preseason game. He scored 13 points in his preseason debut with the
Rockets on Oct. 8 at Seattle.
Now in his 10th NBA season, the 32-year-old Piatkowski averaged 9.7 points and
2.5 rebounds per game last year and is fifth among active players in career
three-point percentage with a .402 clip.
To make room for Piatkowski, the Rockets placed reserve guard Mike Wilks on
the injured list with a right shoulder contusion. Wilks has averaged 1.0 point
and 0.5 assists in four games this season.
Piatkowski is expected to be in uniform for Monday night’s game against his
former team for the first time when Houston visits the Staples Center to take
on the Clippers.
