(Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies lost their third straight game on
Friday, falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 102-98, at the Pyramid.

Jason Williams had 24 points and 11 assists for the Grizzlies, while Pau Gasol
added 20 points and 12 rebounds. Mike Miller netted 20 in the losing effort.

Kevin Garnett’s turnaround jumper with 6:38 remaining gave Minnesota an 83-78
lead, but the Grizzlies scored five of the next seven points to climb within

Memphis would not get any closer as the Timberwolves reeled off seven
straight, capped by a pair of free throws from Garnett, and made it 92-83 with
2:31 left in the fourth.

The Grizzlies never seriously threatened the rest of the game.

Memphis visits LeBron James and the Cavaliers tonight.
