Heat host Carter and Raptors

Miami, FL (Sports Network) – The Toronto Raptors go for their third straight
win tonight when they head to Miami to take on the Heat at AmericanAirlines
Arena.

Vince Carter converted a fade-away jumper with 12.5 seconds to go to lift
Toronto to an 87-86 win over Orlando on Friday at TD Waterhouse Centre.

Carter finished with 20 points and eight assists for the Raptors, who won
their second straight game despite wasting a 14-point lead in the fourth
quarter. Chris Bosh delivered 16 points and eight rebounds in the win.

Antonio Davis and Alvin Williams each added 15 points for Toronto in the win.

The Raptors are 3-5 on the road this season.

The Heat fell to Atlanta, 95-83, at Philips Arena on Friday.

Eddie Jones poured in a team-high 28 points, while Lamar Odom contributed 15
for the Heat, who lost for the fourth time in five games despite a strong
performance in the fourth quarter.

Miami forward Tyrone Hill (neck) missed Friday’s game and is questionable for
tonight’s contest.

Miami is 3-2 as the host.

In 2002-03, Miami won all four contests with the Raptors, winning twice in
front of its home crowd and twice at Toronto.

Overall, these two teams have split the last 10 meetings.

Toronto has lost two straight and three of its last four at Miami.
