Celtics host Grizzlies

Boston, MA (Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies play the second of a
three-game road trip tonight when they travel to Boston to take on Paul Pierce
and the Celtics at the FleetCenter.

Memphis started its short road swing on a positive note, as Pau Gasol poured
in 37 points and hauled in 11 rebounds to lead the Grizzlies over the
Cleveland Cavaliers, 122-115, in double overtime on Saturday at Gund Arena.

Shane Battier added 22 points and 12 boards for the Grizzlies, who overcame a
24-point deficit to snap a three-game slide.

The Cavaliers led 114-113 with 3:29 left in the second overtime on a three-
pointer by LeBron James. But the Grizzlies responded with a 9-1 burst to end
the game and emerged victorious.

Memphis is 4-5 on the road this season.

The Celtics fell to the Milwaukee Bucks, 100-94, in the second of a home-and-
home set Saturday at the Bradley Center.

Mike James, who led the Celtics with 23 points, hit on 7-of-10 from beyond the
arc, while Paul Pierce scored 21 to go along with seven assists and seven
rebounds, but Boston had a two-game winning streak snapped and fell for the
fifth time in seven games.

Boston is 4-4 as the host this season.

Earlier this season, Boston edged the Grizzlies, 93-91, on October 31, 2003 at
the Pyramid.

The Celtics have won five straight and nine of the last 12 over the Grizzlies.

Memphis has lost two in a row and four of its last seven meetings in Boston.
