=== Boston Celtics Team Report – December 2 ===

(Sports Network) – The Boston Celtics lost to the Memphis Grizzlies, 96-89,
Monday at the FleetCenter.

Paul Pierce poured in a game-high 26 points for the Celtics, who have dropped
consecutive outings following a two-game winning streak.

Memphis led by one after three quarters, but extended the lead to 77-72 on
Shane Battier’s three-pointer early in the fourth. Boston cut the gap to
77-76, but the Grizzlies scored eight straight points, capped by Pau Gasol’s
jumper, to stretch the cushion to 85-76 with just over five minutes left in
the game.

The lead increased to 11 at 90-79 on Lorenzen Wright’s tip-in with 2:05
remaining and the Celtics never threatened again.

The Celtics are off until Wednesday when they visit the Toronto Raptors.
