Phoenix Suns Team Report – December 7

=== Phoenix Suns Team Report – December 7 ===

(Sports Network) – One night after their biggest comeback in team history, the
Phoenix Suns found themselves on the wrong end of a 99-88 decision to the New
Jersey Nets on Saturday at Continental Airlines Arena.

Shawn Marion finished with 25 points and 17 rebounds for the Suns, who lost
for the fourth time in five games. Stephon Marbury, who was the catalyst in
Friday’s 29-point come-from-behind win over the Boston Celtics, chipped in
with 23 points and seven assists in Saturday’s setback.

Marion scored 10 points in the fourth quarter to help rally Phoenix again
rally from a 15- point deficit. Four straight points — two foul shots by
Marion and a short jumper by Marbury — staked the team to an 86-85 lead with
4:36 remaining.

New Jersey, though, responded with a 14-0 run to take control.

Forward Amare Stoudemire missed the game with a sprained left ankle and is
expected to miss at least the next two contests for the Suns.

Phoenix will return to the court on Monday when it faces Orlando.
