Portland Trail Blazers Team Report – December 8

=== Portland Trail Blazers Team Report – December 8 ===

(Sports Network) – The Portland Trail Blazers were defeated by the
Memphis Grizzlies, 93-79, Sunday at The Pyramid.

This was the first meeting between the teams since the clubs consummated a
deal last week that saw Portland ship disgruntled guard Bonzi Wells to the
Grizzlies for veteran sharpshooter Wesley Person and a conditional 2004 first
round draft pick.

Zach Randolph poured in 29 points and hauled in 13 rebounds for the Trail
Blazers, who had their three-game winning streak snapped. Person scored just
two points for his new team.

Rasheed Wallace scored 13 points and had nine boards.

Blazers coach Mo Cheeks was ejected in the fourth quarter for arguing calls.

Portland is 0-6 on the road this year and has dropped its last nine regular-
season road contests dating back to last season.

The Blazers are off until Tuesday when they visit the Houston Rockets.
