Atkins ready to return to Detroit lineup
Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) – Detroit Pistons guard Chucky Atkins is
ready to come off the injured list and play in Tuesday’s home game against
According to the Detroit Free Press, Atkins, who has been sidelined since
November 9 with a left knee injury, practiced on Monday and said he felt fine.
The 29-year-old Atkins, who had arthroscopic surgery on the swollen knee, is
averaging 5.0 points and 2.2 assists in five games this season.
Atkins is expected to continue his roll as starting point guard Chauncey
Also, backup center Zeljko Rebraca could be activated from the injured list
before the game against the 76ers. Rebraca has been out since November 14th
with a back injury.
