Heat welcome back Butler with blowout win
Miami, FL (Sports Network) – Miami forward Caron Butler returned to the court
Tuesday as the Heat crushed the Phoenix Suns 92-72. Butler scored seven points
on just 1-of-7 shooting in 37 minutes of action.
The Connecticut product underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee
October 4 and returned to the team on November 8. However, he was still
experiencing problems with the knee, and shut himself down again after a
101-91 loss to the Golden State Warriors on November 21 and this marked his
first game since.
The 23-year-old Butler came into the game averaging just 4.3 points and 1.3
rebounds this season.
Last season, Butler played in 78 games and averaged 15.4 points and 5.1
boards, and was third in the voting for Rookie of the Year.
