Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report – December 10

=== Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report – December 10 ===

(Sports Network) – The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped a heartbreaking 98-95
decision to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday at the Target Center.

Kevin Garnett notched game-highs with 33 points and 14 rebounds and Sam
Cassell added 17 points and 12 assists. Latrell Sprewell welcomed one of his
former teams with a 27-point performance, but Minnesota still had its three-
game winning streak snapped.

Golden State’s Brian Cardinal came up short on a potential go-ahead shot with
16 seconds left, but Jason Richardson tipped the rebound to Erick Dampier to
keep the ball alive. Dampier passed it out to Cardinal at the top of the key,
and he dished it to Nick Van Exel behind the three-point arc on the left.

Van Exel set up the play, and drove to the lane with six seconds left. He
kicked the ball out to Richardson, who calmly drilled the three-ball with less
than a second left on the clock.

Per league rules, Minnesota needed three-tenths of a second for anything other
than a tip-in, so the three-pointer essentially ended the game.
