(Sports Network) – Allen Iverson scored 26 points and Glenn Robinson added
19, as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Orlando Magic, 87-82, on Monday at
the TD Waterhouse Centre.

Samuel Dalembert posted career-highs with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Kenny
Thomas chipped in 13 points and 16 boards for the 76ers, who have won four of
their last six games. Eric Snow also had 13 points in the win.

Juwan Howard’s jumper with 7:47 left in the third quarter gave Orlando a 60-57
edge. Philadelphia then answered with a 14-2 burst, keyed by three-pointers
from Robinson and Iverson, to grab a 71-62 advantage.

The 76ers held a 73-66 lead after 36 minutes and increased the margin to nine
on several occasions in the fourth quarter, the last time at 81-72 on
Robinson’s two free throws with 6:20 remaining.

Orlando then rallied and cut the deficit to 84-82 on a driving layup by Tracy
McGrady with 16.8 seconds left. The Magic were then forced to foul Snow, who
proceeded to make both tries from the stripe to give Philadelphia a four-
point advantage.

After McGrady misfired on a three-point try, Greg Buckner was fouled and hit
1-of-2 from the line with 5.7 seconds remaining to account for the final
score. That was the only point off the bench for the 76ers, who went the final
7:32 without a field goal, but did convert 8-of-10 free throw attempts down
the stretch.

Philadelphia’s Aaron McKie returned to the lineup after missing seven games
with a strained left hamstring and went scoreless in 21 minutes. Meanwhile,
teammate Derrick Coleman (knee) sat out the contest.

Iverson, who was just 9-of-29 from the floor, ended with two steals and now
has at least one theft in 50 consecutive games.

The 76ers are off until Wednesday when they visit Antoine Walker and the
Dallas Mavericks.
