(Sports Network) – The Orlando Magic were defeated by the Philadelphia
76ers, 87-82, on Monday at the TD Waterhouse Centre.

Tracy McGrady poured in 32 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Orlando,
which has dropped seven of its last eight contests. Keith Bogans netted 20
points for the Magic.

Juwan Howard’s jumper with 7:47 left in the third quarter gave Orlando a 60-57
edge. Philadelphia then answered with a 14-2 burst, keyed by three-pointers
from Glenn Robinson and Allen Iverson, to grab a 71-62 advantage.

The 76ers held a 73-66 lead after 36 minutes and increased the margin to nine
on several occasions in the fourth quarter, the last time at 81-72 on
Robinson’s two free throws with 6:20 remaining.

Orlando then rallied and cut the deficit to 84-82 on a driving layup by
McGrady with 16.8 seconds left. The Magic were then forced to foul Eric Snow,
who proceeded to make both tries from the stripe to give Philadelphia a four-
point advantage.

After McGrady misfired on a three-point try, Greg Buckner was fouled and hit
1-of-2 from the line with 5.7 seconds remaining to account for the final

McGrady is averaging 34.5 points per night in the last four games and has
played at least 40 minutes in each contest.

The Magic are off until Wednesday when they visit Stephon Marbury and the New
York Knicks.
