Warriors’ Murphy to miss some time
Oakland, CA (Sports Network) – Golden State Warriors forward Troy Murphy is
expected to miss the next four to six weeks because of an injured right ankle.
The team made the announcement following Monday’s 115-113 loss to the Memphis
Grizzlies. Murphy, who missed the first 22 games of the season after suffering
a plantar fascia tear in his right foot, did not play against Memphis.
The former Notre Dame standout is in his third year with Golden State. Murphy
averaged 11.7 points and 10.2 rebounds in 79 games last season.
Murphy’s injury is being referred to as a deep bone bruise and stress
