Detroit Pistons Team Report – January 14

=== Detroit Pistons Team Report – January 14 ===

(Sports Network) – The Detroit Pistons target their 10th consecutive victory
tonight when they start a brief two-game homestand against the Toronto Raptors
at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

The Pistons’ most recent victory came on Tuesday, as Richard Hamilton scored
24 points in Detroit’s 105-89 victory over Chicago. Ben Wallace added 12
points and a game-high 17 rebounds for the Pistons, who won for the 10th time
in their last 12 games.

Chauncey Billups chipped in 17 points and seven assists.

A win tonight would give the Pistons their longest winning streak since an 11-
game tear from December 26, 1990 – January 17, 1991. The team-record is a 13-
game run from January 23-February 21, 1990.

Detroit has won six straight and nine of its last 10 at home and is 15-5 in
the Motor City this season.

Detroit took three of four from the Raptors last season and has won six of the
last eight matchups. Toronto has also lost three of its last five in Motown,
but has won five of its last nine.
