(Sports Network) – Richard Hamilton and Mehmet Okur each scored 27 points,
as the Detroit Pistons rallied for a 95-91 victory over the Toronto Raptors
on Wednesday at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The game started 29 minutes late due to inclement weather that caused the
Raptors and referees to arrive late at the arena.
Corliss Williamson came off the bench to score 14 points for the Pistons,
who came back from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win their
10th straight game. Okur added 14 rebounds to his career-high point total
and Chauncey Billups chipped in 13 points for Detroit.
Detroit outrebounded Toronto 54-39, despite the fact that Pistons forward
Ben Wallace was ejected in the second quarter for picking up two technical
fouls arguing calls.
The 10-game tear is the Pistons longest winning streak since an 11-game run
during the 1990-91 season.
Detroit, which will host the Washington Wizards on Friday, has won seven
straight home games and improved to 16-5 at home this season.
