Carter leaves game with leg injury

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – Toronto forward Vince Carter left
Thursday’s 78-74 overtime win versus New Orleans with an apparent strained
right quadriceps.

Carter, who finished with two points, got hurt driving to the basket in the
first quarter. He landed hard on the leg, then missed two foul shots with 4:41
remaining in the first. He limped to the locker room before the start of the
second quarter.

In 36 games prior to Thursday, Carter is averaging 21.8 points and 4.6
rebounds for Toronto. The former Tar Heel has received the most All-Star votes
in the Eastern Conference.
